FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Around 10:00 a.m. Sunday Morning, Fort Wayne Police responded to a 911 call reporting guns shots and screams in the Summit at Ridgewood Apartments.  Upon arrival, they found the victim of a shooting on the ground between two apartment buildings. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Fort Wayne Police stated that the apartments are densely populated and that they are hopeful that someone in the apartments could have witnessed something that could lead them to the suspect or suspects.  They are asking anyone who witnessed something unusual or anything that may be tied to the incident to contact the Fort Wayne Detective Bureau at 427-1201 to share their information.

The name of the victim will be released by the Coroner’s office at a later date.  The shooting remains under investigation
