One Person Injured in Thursday Night Shooting

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Officers responded to shots fired near the intersection of Hoagland and Wildwood Avenue around 10 p.m. Thursday night.

A witness said he saw a person shooting out the window of a gray 4-door car, similar to a Chevy Impala. The car was driving southbound on Hoagland. According to police, the witness described the shooter as a black male, who was firing his gun from the front passenger seat.

Officers found approximately 15 shell casings on scene.

One person was taken to a hospital with a minor wound to his head. Police say he is in good condition.

The victim told the police the crime may have been related to a recent court trial.
