FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): One man is in serious condition after an early-morning shooting in southern Fort Wayne today.

The Fort Wayne Police Department tells our Partners in News at ABC 21 officers were called to the intersection of McKinnie and Holton Avenues at about 2:30am and found a man lying on the sidewalk, suffering from gunshot wounds.

Police dispatch says none of the people living in that area could tell them what happened, and a lot of the houses nearby are vacant.

Officers did collect some shell casings and hope to speak with the victim to see if he knows who shot him.
