DEKALB COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): A teenager from DeKalb County is dead after a three-vehicle crash that happened just before 5pm today.
Our Partners in News at 21Alive report that it happened at the intersection of County Roads 19 and 40. Details are few, but it has been confirmed that a DeKalb football player, 17-year-old Derek Padilla, died in the crash, and another was critically injured.
We are extremely saddened with the news that two Junior Football players were involved in an off-campus car accident after school today.

Tonight’s DeKalb vs. New Haven high school football game was cancelled as a result of the crash.
