One Teen Fatally Stabbed, One Arrested in Fishers

FISHERS, Ind. (AP) _ An 18-year-old suburban Indianapolis man faces preliminary charges of murder and involuntary manslaughter following a fatal stabbing at a house party.

Authorities say 18-year-old Corbin Montgomery was being held without bond Monday at the Hamilton County Jail in Noblesville. Online jail records did not indicate whether he has an attorney.

Fishers Police Sgt. Tom Weger says 18-year-old Connor Shockley was pronounced dead soon after medics arrived late Sunday at a home in the town just northeast of Indianapolis. Both teens are from Fishers.

Weger says investigators have the weapon believed used in the attack.

Weger said Shockley's slaying is the first homicide in nearly 20 years and one of only a few in the town's history.
