FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) Just a day after creating the Governor's Task Force, Mike Pence visited Fort Wayne Wednesday to get the program started.

The round table meeting at Ivy Tech's Public Safety Academy included about 30 Northeast Indiana leaders in the fields drug enforcement, treatment and prevention.

The Governor is seeking input on what's working to implement around the state.

“We haven't taken a comprehensive look at how all that works together and where the gaps are,” Pence told members of the media. “So the purpose of the drug task force is for the left hand to know what the right hand is doing in new and renewed ways.”

Pence says the task force will put leaders on the same page when it comes to combating the impact of drug use in the state.
