Police believe meth may be involved in store unit death investigation…

On Wednesday, January 23rd, around 2:00 p.m., Fort Wayne Police were called out on report of a death investigation on S. Anthony Boulevard. Once police arrived on the scene they found two adult females inside a vacant store unit.

One female was pronounced dead at the scene, the second female was taken to the hospital in serious condition; her condition has since deteriorated and she remains hospitalized in critical condition.

Later on that day, two other people showed up in the emergency room of a nearby hospital. The male and female were identified as being involved with this investigation.

The Methamphetamine Suppression Unit assisted in this investigation because products associated with the manufacture of methamphetamine were discovered at the scene and were also found in a car that was identified as part of this investigation.

Now, investigators have reason to believe that there was an active methamphetamine lab at the vacant store unit on that day.

This is an ongoing investigation.
