Police Search for Three Men Connected to Home Invasion

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Just before 2 yesterday morning, police were called to Dupont Road near Lima on report of a home invasion where the homeowner was pistol-whipped, that according to The Journal Gazette. The man says the three intruders held him at gunpoint and demanded $30,000 they believed was in his safe. After one of the men hit the homeowner in the head with a gun, they realized there was no money in the home, apologized, and tried to clean up the blood with a towel. They then took off in the homeowner's truck, but abandoned it nearby. Police are still investigating.
