Police think man found in Paulding County cemetery was murdered

CECIL, Ohio (WOWO): Police are now suspecting foul play in the case of another body found this week in Paulding County.

A mushroom hunter found the body of a man covered by a blanket in a corner of Rochester Cemetery in Cecil Tuesday night.

Officials believe the body had been there for several weeks, and while Sheriff Jason Landers tells our partners in news at 21Alive he believes it to be a homicide, he doesn’t think it’s connected to the other body found in Paulding County this week, that of 44-year-old Wilma Schwartz of Fort Wayne.

If the man was murdered, he’d be the third such victim in Paulding County this month, including 21-year-old Hannah Fischer, whose body was found in a Paulding apartment a couple of weeks ago.
