Police Uncover Drugs, Cash in Arrest

WHITLEY COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): A drug arrest on U.S. 30 Sunday landed two Chicago men in jail.

During a stop, a Whitley County deputy smelled marijuana, according to the Journal-Gazette.

That prompted a search that uncovered pot, drug paraphernalia and more than $72,000 in cash.

According to the newspaper report, the county could take possession of the cash and vehicle under drug law, if the men are convicted.

The official charges and suspects names were not released.
