Police: 7-Month-Old Boy Dies After Hit-and-Run

INDIANAPOLIS (AP): Indianapolis police say a 7-month-old boy who was ejected from his parents' car during a hit-and-run crash has died from his injuries.

Police say the infant was thrown from the car's back seat when the family's car was rear-ended Tuesday night by another car. The child died Wednesday at Eskenazi Hospital.

The infant was believed to have been riding in a child safety seat found inside the car.

The child's mother and father were hospitalized in good condition along with a teenager and a 3-year-old also riding in the car's back seat.

Police are looking for two men who fled from their car after it rear-ended the family's vehicle.

Witnesses told police that car was traveling recklessly and at a high rate of speed at the time of the crash.
