Police Warn Of Suspicious Door To Door Activity

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Police confronted two men going door to door asking homeowners if they wanted their driveways sealed.

In a Suspicious Activity Incident Report by Fort Wayne Police, an officer saw a red pickup truck parked at 4700 Covington Road and two subjects talking to a homeowner. They are identified as Montey and Christopher, and they said they were offering their services to reseal their driveway. When the officer checked their identification, they learned that one of the men had warrants out for their arrest in Tennessee, Wisconsin and Alabama. However, the warrants were non-extraditable.

Police also note that the men said they were staying at the Super 8 Motel and were trying to make money. Both men did not have valid drivers licenses, and the officer escorted them to a location where they could wait for a ride.

Police warn not to solicit door to door services, especially if you didn't call them to your property. You should always beware of people who knock on your door offering services.
