Power Outage impacts over 3,200 in Fort Wayne

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): More than 3200 Indiana Michigan Power customers in the south side of Fort Wayne woke up in the dark this morning.

A spokesperson for the utility tells WOWO news the outage happened at about 7:17am due to a utility pole fire on Oliver Street that also brought down a power line. It’s still unclear what caused the fire.

Crews had service restored to all but 20 customers by about 9am. Check the utility’s outage map here.
