Project to Digitize Court Documents has Begun

ALLEN COUNTY,  Ind. (WOWO): The Clerk of the Allen Circuit and Superior Courts has announced that her office is partnering with FamilySearch to review and digitize hundreds of boxes of Allen County’s historical court documents. Starting Wednesday, over 20 volunteers from FamilySearch started a project to make several of these historical documents accessible to the public via their internet-based genealogical search system. According to clerk Lisbeth Borgmann’s office, many of the documents are dated from the 19th Century and have been stored in the Courthouse’s basement for decades.
