Public Hearing on Warehouse Proposal Delayed

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) _ It'll take a little longer to work out a rezoning request for a parts distribution center near the Fort Wayne GM plant.

The Allen County Commission decided to delay a public hearing originally set for Thursday night on a proposed truck and rail terminal. Our partners in news at 21 Alive report that the plan is to let Crown Enterprises meet with homeowners in the area and get more input before the request, then to hold a public hearing on the truck and rail terminal next month. Several dozen area residents showed up at last night's Commission meeting and were upset over the delay.

The new hearing date is September 17th.
