Purdue hosting workshop on grain dust combustion

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (AP): Farmers and workers in grain handling facilities are getting some instruction on how to prevent grain dust combustion and explosion.

In a news release, Purdue University says a Purdue Extension workshop will be held on September 15 at the Beck Agricultural Center in West Lafayette.

Among the items to be discussed are proper grain unloading, industrial hazards and engineering controls. There will also be a demonstration of a dust explosion and as well as on-site training at businesses and grain handling facilities.
