WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (AP): Purdue University president Mitch Daniels is in the midst of an East Coast trip speaking with national media outlets and conferences addressing higher education issues, trends and the economy.
 
Purdue says the former Indiana governor's trip this week to Washington and New York included meeting with the state's congressional delegation, speaking at the Time Summit on Higher Education and doing interviews with Bloomberg television, The Wall Street Journal and the New York Times.
