Football Team Remembers Late Teammate

LAPORTE, Ind. (AP): Some 3,000 people filled the stands of a northern Indiana high school's football stadium to remember a team player who died after collapsing during practice. LaPorte High School junior Jake West died from what doctors determined was an undiagnosed heart condition. West played linebacker for the 1,900-student school.
