DUPONT, OH. (WOWO) A 28-year-old man was hospitalized Sunday after being shocked by an electrical line while attempting to retrieve a radio-controlled airplane from a tree in Dupont.

First responders were called to a home in Dupont, Putnam County, at approximately 8:49 p.m., according to the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office. Emergency personnel found the man had come into contact with an overhead electrical line while reaching for the RC plane.

The man was transported by ambulance to a hospital in Lima for treatment. “First responders arrived on scene quickly and provided immediate care before transporting him to a nearby facility,” according to the sheriff’s office. His current condition has not been released.
