CELINA, Ohio (WOWO): It’s life in prison for a Mercer County man convicted of killing his girlfriend last fall.
Late this morning in Celina, a judge handled down the sentence to 40-year-old Daniel Martin. He could be eligible for parole in 18 years. Last month Martin pleaded guilty to the November 2012 murder of 26-year old Melinda Shinn at their home in Rockford.
Martin hid out in Fort Wayne for about two months before US Marshals caught up with him.
