Rockford Ohio Murder Suspect May Be In Fort Wayne

Rockford, OHIO (www.incnow.tv) – For the first time in Rockford, Ohio history, Mercer County police are trying to solve a homicide.

Mercer County police received a call, Thursday morning about a possible shooting at 509 North Street in Rockford.

Once officers arrived they found 26-year-old Melinda Shinn in her home dead and evidence suggests that a firearm was used.

Thursday evening officials announced a murder warrant for 40-year-old Daniel C. Martin, a black male who’s 5’11”, 230-pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

Martin’s vehicle was located Thursday night on Smith Street in Fort Wayne.

Police say he’s likely armed and dangerous and has a lengthy criminal history.

No word on a possible motive.

If you see him, don’t approach him, and call police.
