CARMEL, Ind. (AP) – Security device maker Allegion says it is establishing its North American headquarters in suburban Indianapolis and plans adding up to 100 employees there in the coming year.
 
Company executives joined Gov. Mike Pence and other officials at a ceremony Wednesday announcing the selection. Allegion is based in Ireland and spun off from Ingersoll Rand last week as a stand-alone public company.
 
Allegion already has about 1,000 workers in Indiana at its office in Carmel and a manufacturing facility on the east side of Indianapolis.
 
The company sells mechanical and electronic locks, key systems and other security devices, with about 7,800 employees worldwide.
