Security Officers with 122nd Fighter Wing Return Home

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): It's welcome home day for dozens of members of the 122nd Fighter Wing.

Twenty-six airmen with Fort Wayne's Air National guard Security Forces Squadron will return Friday after serving a six-month deployment for Operation Enduring Freedom. 

They assisted with efforts in Afghanistan. A guard spokesman says they were stationed at a base in Qatar providing base defense and guarding air cargo.

Another 300 airmen and about a dozens A-10s fighter jets remain in service with the U.S military's Central Command in the Middle East.
