PIERCETON, Ind. (WOWO): One person is dead after a semi crashed into a building off of U.S. 30 near Pierceton. 

The accident happened around 1 PM Friday. When crews arrived, the driver of the semi was unresponsive and was later pronounced dead at the scene. 

It's unknown what caused the crash.

A dog that was in the semi survived the accident.
