Senators ask for time to study school vouchers…

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) _ Two state senators weighing an expansion of vouchers say the state should wait until it has analyzed the current school voucher law it approved two years ago. 
 
  Republican Sen. Luke Kenley of Noblesville and Democratic Sen. Earline Rogers of Gary suggested waiting to expand voucher eligibility until the state has reviewed the effects of school vouchers.
 
  Voucher supporters squared off against public school supporters over the House Republican voucher plan before the Senate Education Committee on Wednesday. The two sides echoed the same points they have made throughout the voucher battle in the Statehouse.
 
  The legislation would qualify more children from military and foster families, increase the amount of each voucher and make other changes.
