FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): An informational session held about the future of IPFW Tuesday ended with about as many questions as answers.

About 80 students and teachers attended a meeting sharing info on a proposal to split IPFW into two colleges, according to the Journal Gazette. Andrew Downs of IPFW says progress on sorting through the proposal has stopped, and people on both sides of the issue aren’t talking.

Several IPFW administrators say a split, which would have Purdue run the majority of campus operations and leave Indiana University in charge of medical programs, could actually increase enrollment costs.

Another set of meetings are set for Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., in Walb Union Rooms 222-226
