Severe Weather Taxes Parks Budget

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Severe weather hit Fort Wayne's Parks hard this summer.
Storms and flooding has dented the Parks and Recreation Departments budget by at least $1.1 million dollar. In figures released Thursday show the labor costs reached $880,00 from storms. Flooding cost more than $216,000.

Park Director Al Moll told WOWO News says they'll tighten the budget to catch up financially. That means postponing some projects a year or two.

He says that doesn't account for more than $150,000 in lost golf and rental revenue. He says it's difficult to pinpoint an exact figure.
