Shooting injures one, leaves bullets in nearby house

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A Tuesday night shooting in Fort Wayne injured one man and sent several bullets into a nearby home and car.

The Fort Wayne Police Department was called to the Village Woods neighborhood after about 8 to 10 gunshots were heard just before 7:45 pm, according to the News Sentinel.

They found a man on Salem Lane with a gunshot wound to one of his heels and then got a call from a home two blocks to the east where several bullets ended up either embedded in the front door or through windows and walls.

A tan car had also been shot multiple times.

The bullets were 9mm and 40-caliber size; there’s no word yet on suspect information or a possible motive.
