Sinkhole Opens Up in Road in Indy, Damaging 4 Cars

INDIANAPOLIS (AP): Indianapolis police say a sinkhole that opened up along a city street during the evening rush-hour caused damage to four vehicles that struck the big hole. Police say the sinkhole that’s about four feet wide and eight feet deep formed about 5 p.m. Tuesday on the city’s northeast side. Reports say that it’s unclear what caused the hole to form, but the road where it appeared runs along a small creek.
