State Police investigation into former City Clerk now heads to Allen County Prosecutor

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): We should be getting an update on the state’s investigation into wrongdoing within the Fort Wayne City Clerk’s Office soon.

The Indiana State Police’s investigation into wrongdoing by former Clerk Sandy Kennedy is officially complete, according to a report by the News-Sentinel.

The investigation began after undercover video showed Kennedy apparently threatening her employees’ jobs if they didn’t vote for her chosen successor, Angie Davis, who ended up dropping out of the race. Investigators also looked into misuse of the office’s stamp fund, according to the report.

Kennedy resigned, citing health reasons, after the video (seen below) was made public.

The case has been turned over to the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office.
