Student Suffers Ruptured Eardrum in Fort Wayne Classroom

FORT WAYNE Ind. (WOWO): A high school student in Fort Wayne went to the emergency room after another student shoved a pen into her ear.

According to the Journal Gazette, the mother of the North Side High School student met with police at the hospital after her daughter mentioned she was injured during sixth-period geometry class.

It started when a student supposedly got up from his chair and went to the front of the room to find a pen. As he walked back, he stuck the pen in the girl's ear and said, “you can have your ear wax back.” The boy then proceeded to pull the pen out of her ear wipe it on her sleeve.

The girl told police the altercation was random and she hadn't had any kind of argument with the boy beforehand. She reported the incident to school authorities and went to the hospital with a ruptured ear drum the next day.
