COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) _ Two groups have released a study on the nation's preparedness for climate change-related weather events that says Ohio isn't ready for what could come in the next decades.
The project from ICF International and Climate Central says Ohio and most states have taken strong steps to look at its current risks from inland flooding and drought while taking some steps to address current extreme heat risks.
But the report released Wednesday faults the state for doing little to take on those same threats in the coming decades. The study is not peer reviewed science.
It says there's no evidence that Ohio has made policy changes or put money toward the effort to thwart the effects of extreme heat, drought, and inland flooding brought on by climate change.
