FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Congressman Marlin Stutzman thinks that Todd Young’s U.S. Senate campaign is crossing a line.

Stutzman came under fire this week due to an Associated Press report that stated he used $2,000 in campaign funds for airline tickets for a family vacation.

Stutzman told Pat Miller on WOWO Thursday afternoon that not only did he clear it with the FEC, that the AP report was likely started by a Young staffer. “The only allegation is from an AP reporter who we told there is nothing inappropriate here.” Stutzman told Miller. “Instead, they concocted this story with the Todd Young campaign.”

Stutzman also expressed his displeasure with Young’s “creepy” campaign. “The Todd Young campaign is taking photos of our vehicle and doctoring them.” Stutzman said. “They’re taking the Indiana licence plate on the back of our vehicles and pasting them with a Virginia plate saying we live in Virginia.” Stutzman does own a house in Virginia.

Stutzman also says his wife Christy has blocked two people from the Young campaign this week from seeing the vacation photos, which Stutzman says are still up on Christy Stutzman’s Facebook page. He says that confirms the source of the AP story is the Young campaign, since the AP story claimed the photos were taken down.

Marlin We are backing you 100%. I hope to see you soon. When I do remind me to tell you of a few “dirty Tricks”..that the former Senator Richard Lugar ‘s staff did to “sabotage” Richard Mourdock’s campaign. One thing that I have learned in my almost 4 decades in politics is that it “truly is a “dirty Business”.. But, let me hasten to add that so is industrial sabotage and the “corporate world. Keep strong , finish the fight, win the race. C. O. montgomery..Hancock County…
