“Super Blood Moon” Visible This Weekend

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): You'll be able to take in a rare sight this weekend.

Just after sunset Sunday night, what's called a “Super Blood Moon” will be visible. It's a lunar eclipse that will also look bigger than usual due to the Earth's position in space this time of year.

This kind of phenomenon won't happen again for twenty years, according to our partners in news at 21Alive, who also report that the entire eclipse will be visible worldwide except for a majority of Asia and Australia.

The last “Super Blood Moon” happened in 1982.
