GRANT COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO) Three people are facing felony charges after investigators uncovered an alleged contraband trafficking operation at the Grant County Jail.

According to the Grant County Sheriff’s Office, the Criminal Investigations Division concluded a phase of its ongoing probe on January 27, leading to multiple arrest warrants. Zabrien Michael Wright, 25, of Anderson, was arrested and charged with trafficking with an inmate and conspiracy to commit trafficking, both Level 5 felonies.

Eighteen-year-old Jayden Persinger of Marion turned herself in at the jail and faces two Level 5 felony charges for trafficking and conspiracy, along with a Level 6 felony charge for official misconduct. Authorities say Persinger was working as a detention deputy at the jail at the time of the alleged offenses.
