FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A toddler is in critical condition after being hit by a car Wednesday afternoon.

A vehicle was backing up when it hit a 1-year-old who was playing in the driveway in the 300 block of Darrow Ave., according to initial reports from our news partners at 21Alive.

The toddler was sent to the hospital in critical condition.
