Tony Bennett Says Schools Should be Held Accountable for Student Progress

Superintendent of State Instruction, Tony Bennett, believes the state having the ability to take over schools that have a history of failing should be extended to entire school districts. In his state of education address yesterday, Bennett says lawmakers should consider that option. He explains the sweeping changes that have been made since he took over have shown that when schools are held accountable for student progress, everyone succeeds.
