Tornado With 85 mph Winds Touches Down In Central Indiana

PRINCES LAKE, Ind. (AP) _ A small tornado touched ground briefly in southern Johnson County in central Indiana on Sunday, knocking down numerous trees and damaging about 10 homes.

National Weather Service meteorologist Mike Ryan says most of the damage to homes was caused by falling trees. He says no injuries were reported.

He says the tornado that touched down near the community of Princes Lake, about 30 miles south of Indianapolis, was classified as an EF0 with maximum winds of 85 mph.
