Train Hits Car Near Albion

ALBION, Ind. (WOWO): A drunk driver may the the cause of a train hitting a car west of Albion Friday night.

Our partners in news at 21Alive say that 55-year-old Carolyn Busche's car was stuck on the tracks between the barricades on County Road 450 W in Noble County. There was no asphalt on the tracks because the crossing is being refurbished.

At about 9:45 PM, Busche got out of her vehicle and walked away from the tracks as the train plowed into her vehicle.

She wasn't hurt, but she was taken to Noble County Jail. Authorities say alcohol is believed to be a factor.
