BLUFFTON, Ind. (WOWO): The Wells County mother charged in connection with the death of her son, Owen Collins appears to be heading to court.
In a conference today, a Wells Circuit judge set January 25 for the trial of Breanna Arnold to begin. A January 6 deadline has been set for any would be plea deals to be complete.
Last January, the 21-year-old Arnold and her then 31-year-old Zachery Barnes admitted to exposing the boy to meth. But, the coroner later ruled the 3-year-old died from blunt force trauma.
Last month, Barnes was sentenced to 50 years in prison for murder in the boys death.
A 16-year-old boy, Zachery Barker is also charged in the case.
