ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): The trial for a 29-year-old man accused of beating a man to death with a microwave will start Tuesday.

Justin Littlejohn, 29, faces murder and habitual offender charges in Allen County, according to our news partners 21Alive.

In December 2015, police say Littlejohn beat 46-year-old Randy Dial to death with a microwave at the Economy Inn on Coliseum Boulevard.

Dial was hospitalized after the attack and died the next day. The Allen County Coroner’s Office said he died from blunt force trauma to the head and ruled the death a homicide.

Detectives say Littlejohn admitted to hitting Dial with a microwave and the glass plate from inside it.
