INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WOWO) — IMPD says on Saturday, January 4th, 2025, there was an armed robbery at the Dollar General at 3616 E. 10th Street on the near east side. An employee said two people wearing masks and all black clothing entered the store, pointed a gun at him, and demanded money from the cash register. After getting the money, they ran off.

Officers say a citizen told them that they saw a white Ford sedan speeding away from the Dollar General. Investigators were eventually told that both people went into a Family Dollar on 10th Street. Both of them were caught and arrested in an alley behind the Family Dollar.

The suspects have been identified as 20-year-old Davion Shaw and 18-year-old Ashleigh Walker. Police say they found out that the sedan belonged to a family member of one of the suspects. They also recovered two black hoodies, a handgun, and a large-capacity magazine in the same alley.
