Two Arrested after Three Bloomington-Area Robberies

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (AP) _ Bloomington police say they've arrested two men following three armed robberies in the area.

Capt. Joe Qualters says 19-year-old Shawn Seymour of Bloomington was arrested Thursday morning hours after an officer fired on a gunman leaving a gas station robbery. Investigators later received a tip about someone suffering from a head wound, and Qualters says Seymour was treated for a non-life-threatening wound consistent with a gunshot following his arrest.

Police also arrested 18-year-old Paul Spence of Bloomington, who they say was the driver for Seymour.  Both men are charged with two counts of robbery.

The arrests followed three convenience store or gas station robberies in the Bloomington area late Wednesday and early Thursday.

Seymour's attorney was unavailable for comment, and it wasn't clear if Spence had an attorney.
