Two Killed in Gary When Train Strikes Car

GARY, Ind. (AP) _ Gary police are investigating the deaths of two people who were killed when the car they were in was struck by a train.
 
The Lake County Coroner's office told the Post-Tribune the victims were a man and a woman. Their names were being withheld until family members are notivied.
 
The collision occurred before 6 a.m. Friday, causing traffic backup for hours. Gary police have not released any information about the collision.
 
Three teenagers were killed at the same crossing four years ago.
