Lima Road Construction Put On Hold for Sewer Pipe Replacement

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The reconstruction of Lima Road (US 27), has been put on hold as Fort Wayne City Utilities discovered a broken sewer pipe that needs replaced.

To save money and to avoid having to tear up a completed road in the near future, City Utilities asked the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) to allow them to make the repair now. The Board of Public Works approved the emergency repair work and the new pipe is being installed under Lima Road near Norfolk Avenue.

The pipe installation is expected to be completed by the end of next week at which time the INDOT crews will continue the Lima construction project.
