UPDATE: FWPD Identify Body Found in Trash Can

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A body has been identified that was found in a trash can last weekend.

After an autopsy, the person was confirmed as 19-year-old Zhanelle Link of Fort Wayne. The coroner used dental records to identify the body, that was was found on the 2200 block of Eckart Street.

A neighbor and his son were doing yard work right next to the home where the body was found. 21Alive reports the neighbor needed a place to put his extra garbage, so he sent his son to grab the trash can. When he opened the lid he discovered the body. 

The manner of death has not been released and the incident remains under investigation.
