Update: Huge Apartment Fire in Huntington

HUNTINGTON (AP) _ A large fire has forced 11 families from their homes at an apartment complex in Huntington.

WPTA and WANE reported the fire broke out about 9:30 a.m. Monday and quickly spread to 12 apartment units. WANE reported the property manager alerted residents to the fire and got everyone out safely.

Crews were still battling the blaze at midday.

WPTA reported the fire set off ammunition and complicated efforts to extinguish the blaze.

The Huntington Fire Department did not immediately return a message from the Associated Press seeking comment.
