Spokesman Tracy Warner says the initial outage estimate was too high. A closer estimate would be about 1,000 customers who initially lost power. Crews have since restored power to over 800 people.

The source of the outage was equipment failure in the area of Hessen Cassel Road and Paulding Avenue. Power will hopefully be fully restored by 8:30 a.m.
