17-year-old Charged with Attempted Rape

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): It took two years for scientists to analyze DNA results that led to charges against a 17-year-old, who's accused of raping a jogger in 2012.

The name of the female-jogger has not been released, but according to the Journal Gazette, 17-year-old Walik Whiteside has been charged with attempted rape for the incident that took place at Rivergreenway, near Fairfield Avenue and Lower Huntington Road.

Whiteside would have been 15 at the time, and is already in prison for robbery and shooting a teenager.
