The Allen County Sheriff’s Department was called to the scene of a 2 vehicle crash on US 33 North of Hilderbrand at about 3:00 on Saturday afternoon.

According to witnesses, a car that was headed south on US 33 crossed the center line striking a pickup truck that was traveling northbound. The head on collision caused the truck to slide into the ditch while the car came to rest in the middle of the roadway. The driver of the car was flown to a local hospital in critical condition while the driver of the truck was taken in serious condition.  A passenger in the truck was transported in good condition. This crash remains under investigation by the Allen County Sheriff’s Department.

Update: WOWO has since learned that 29-year-old Randall Fulk of Fort Wayne has died from injuries he sustained in that crash.  His cause of death is listed as blunt force trauma.
